...Indeed, I can’t believe that this is still hanging around here :D I’ve had so many chances to mark this off, but no… I even had a bottle of it at home a few years ago, but I have no idea where/with whom it ended up.. Last year I almost got my hands on a set of silver spoons – it’s an almost since they looked a bit fake. Still, this goal is one of my big ‘why?’s. Why is it not done? At least I know where my priorities lie now. I can only hope it will not end as ‘well’ as my raw whiskey-tasting experience :D 2 weeks ago
Went to a fancy cocktail bar on a pub crawl with workmates (and my brother). While I spun the wheel and asked for something savoury with rum, one of the developers ordered a glass of absinthe. As he was happy to share with anyone who wanted a sip, I unexpectedly completed this.
It was minty green and creamy-looking, and smelled basically of black licorice. It tasted quite nice, too. Sweet and licoricey but complex, I suppose. I still intend to order myself a glass when I next get the chance, but for now I’m happy to have partaken in the way that I did. 9 months ago

It Did not taste good, so I wasn’t able to drink enough to feel any effect. It made my husband really sick. I think the romance of it is much better than the actuality of the experience. 20 months ago
But actually not too terribly bad when mixed with some 7up – I actually did like it then.
But am not planning on picking up an absinthe habit anytime soon, guess it didn’t work out to well for Van Gogh. 23 months ago
I don’t go out to bars! While in Helsinki we are going to be on a tram/bar combo thang apparently, so I am thinking that might be a great place to give it a shot! Or sip I guess. 2 years ago

I’ve got a nice bottle of this at home right now. I’ve been sipping on it, but holding off on any major drinking. I enjoy the taste.
I don’t know whether it’s at all comparable to the European stuff, although this says it’s got everything in it…
