finish renovating

Have put up blinds in all the rooms, they are lovely. Have laid bamboo wide board click system flooring throughout the main living areas of the house. Have to finish the beading , have finished 50% of it. My brother is doing that for me. I learnt to use a dropsaw, learnt how to lay floorboards, and have learnt how to put down beading even though i havent helped with that. I am very proud of it and it looks lovely.
So still to finish is the kitchen tiles and carpet in the bedrooms.
I will post photos once Ive got all the furniture out of my bedroom and located my camera :D

Only 1-2 weeks of work left, but we have been waiting for the electrician and the plummer for weeks now. ARGhhhhhh!!!!

I have done the bathroom, it is livable, usable and very sexy in my humble opinion. I have still got to do the lights in the bathroom, the carpet through the house and fix the kitchen tiles. I might get new light fittings in the loungeroom – not sure. The lights tend to blow in a rather explosive fashion (think rocket launcher) every now and then. Funny. But not.
Gotta put up the blinds in my bedroom and the living room.. the second & third rooms are done.
Got students living here.. will have money soon… So.. stay tuned.
Anyway.. its not the most fantastic of renovations but I think it’s practical and exactly what I want.

Ok… so this is a lot more expensive than I thought it would be… I have $5000 and about $8000 of work left to do….
:( I could put it on my credit cards but that it just bad… but that is probably what I am going to do.

Another goal that is completed! We’ve done all the inside work now, and I’m proud to say that the place is completely different and a whole lot more colourful than when we started! Considering how little we knew about renovating when we started, I’m so proud of how it’s turned out!

that we only have to finish the courtyard and this will be COMPLETE! How exciting!

We’re getting so much closer to finishing this goal! Getting the floors done was the last major thing which needed doing inside. Now it’s mainly touch ups, some sanding, and decorating! Hooray!

....I can cross all the painting goals off the list! Now we just need to get the floors done, and all the major renovations inside are complete! Then we more to the outside stuff :) It’s really exciting because the place looks completely different to what it did a year and a half ago and it feels more and more like ‘us’ everyday.

The renovations are getting me down today. I’ve hit a slump. It’s just been going on forever and there’s still so much to do. I guess I’m just exhausted and sooooo desperately want it to be finished. I know it’s going to be the cutest house ever when we’re done and it will all be worth it – it’s just so much in the mean time.

It wouldn’t be so bad if I didn’t have so many others things to do at the moment. So many things are ‘half done’ and i HATE THAT. I hate being in the middle ground. Sometimes it seems like there is so much to do and I’ll never get there.

So I’m breaking this down into more minigoals, so at least I can then cross things off the list and feel like I’m making progress. Because at the moment it feels like I’m working so hard and not getting very far.
