There is a communication gap between my mind and my mouth. This is a goal which may never see an end, but I need to work on this! 13 months ago

Emilyj298speaking articulately

My speaking skills are questionable. I may be bubbly and interesting to talk to, but I appear super dingy sometimes. I am blonde, yes…I just hate looking like an idiot when I cannot explain something well. I am just fearful that it will really start to affect my job. I have just gotten a promotion and I’m scared that I will not be able to clearly communicate about certain circumstances. I am really hoping I am successful with this goal. Cheers? please! I need motivation :D 16 months ago

It helped to live in an English-speaking country like Canada for 8 months, and be surrounded by English-speaking people 24/7. I’m glad I didn’t cling on to fellow international/exchange students. I had to give presentations ranging from 5 minutes to 40 minutes to my fellow classmates, and the amount of practice I had improved my oral skills greatly. 3 years ago

4IVd1234Become more articulate... in presenting

I find that I can be extremely articulate and concise when explaining something to only one person, but with the added pressure of having to stand up and speak in front of a room just creates a mental block from my brain to my mouth.

I have a presentation on Tuesday. I’m going to practice(x1000000)! 5 years ago

I’ve come to realize that the inability I have of putting in words my thoughts is really damaging my confidence and affection other peoples perception of me. Sometimes it happens, that I know the answers of the teacher question but I’m unable of responding because I don’t know how to say it. I really want this to change..and I am determined to make that change happen. I know I can do better. 5 years ago
