I am now going to start using the hipster pda as it seems to incorporate most of the things I had made in my notes that I wanted. I spent today “designing” a handinked template for my daily pages.
I have included the things that I want to track from my wor schedule – to remembering to drink water & milk. My meds, exercise and reading all should be trackable on an index card.
Woot! If the prototype works I will hafta decide if I want to try & design a computer template = gulp! 6 years ago

I found a system that I think just might fit my style. It is 3×5 notecards. I love 3×5’s! I have been using them already, this just gives me a more organized format and a title.
My friends always say that I am am addicted to 3×5’s now I can say, “Noooo this is my HipsterPDA system.” I think that this along with the Essential PIM might just work for me.
I will be reading more & trying to work out some of my own needs for cards. I wonder if I can learn to design what I need??? I will probably spend way too much time doing this, but I am quite happy and enthused. 6 years ago

I was looking for pics of Father Time, and somehow stumbled across this site: http://www.diyplanner.com/
I am hoping that further perusal will help me put together what I am wanting out of a planner. I have some really defined ideas, but not finding what I want at all. This site gives me renewed hope! :) 6 years ago

I found a free program that has calendat – to/do list functions & downloaded. I am using that and hiveminder. Hiveminder I am mostly using for joint projects with my boyfriend Toad.
I don’t think EssentialPIM is ultimately what I will use,but it i working ok, and I like free. I continue to look in my spare bits of time for a program that meets all my needs.
I think I may try and get my pda functional next, learn how to use it past solitaire. 6 years ago

I carried a planner for years. Then came a time I turned my back on everything & basically tossed (misplaced?) the whole thing and went for a simpler lifestyle. I went back to school and carried a tiny monthly calendar.
School is done and I am going back out into the world and find myself more and more needing the flexibility of a planner. I think I may want to design my own pages rhis time to incorporate what I really need for my lifestyle. 6 years ago
