hajush is checking back into 43T after many moons away.
In fact, it seems the busier things are, the more urgent this practice becomes. When my mind is more calm, I’m so much more effective. Things take less effort. It’s really useful also to focus on just meditating a few minutes a day, rather than being competitive and pushing the amount of time beyond what really works. It’s much easier for me to ensure a quiet 15 minute meditation every day than it was in the past to try to get to an hour. I find using a kitchen timer set to 15 minutes also helps a great deal.

This has been a really calming, fun exercise for me lately. It makes me feel sort of creative, and sort of like a kid again at the same time! It really puts me in a zen state of mind, too. I highly recommend it!

Remember to “UNPLUG” the phone “BEFORE” you settle in for some “relaxing” deep breathing….

I got the opportunity to study and speak with Mark Whitwell last weekend, and he broke it all down and made it so simple! Now I’m finding it much easier to take a few moments each day to move with my breath, then follow that with just sitting with my breath for a little while.
One of the things he said is that you can’t really try to meditate. Just sit and rest and let your mind go where it will. Eventually it will calm down and meditation will come naturally. Seeking it only makes it harder to find and creates stress. He called it a “gift”, like sleep. You can’t make yourself sleep no matter how hard you try. The best you can do is just enjoy the rest and let what happens happen. All the striving makes it ever more elusive.
The guy wrote a great book called “Yoga of Heart” – if you get a chance, pick it up! Very interesting stuff!

10-15 minutes each day is a great way to start building a strong base to launch your self back into life,( and all the chaos that goes with it.). The past few weeks I have had this “Love/ Hate” relationship with hospitals, and heart monitors, “love to find out what is going on”... “but hate going to hospitals”....I found this to be invaluable in getting me through some of the worst chest pains, and helping me stay calm when breathing was most difficult. It left me feeling more “in control” ,of an “out of control” situation, and firmly grounded me to exactly where I needed to be most present at that one moment. And starting small , knowing only ten minutes is OK, has left me feeling free from pressure to allot more time to this ,( when it never feels like there is ever enough time to get to everything on life’s list of “To Do’s”),... and in fact I probably have allotted more time to this now, than if I had set my time limit higher in the first place !! Go figure…
And for all you fellow Canadians out there….. HAPPY CANADA DAY EH!!!!!

This morning, I set aside my time early right after waking up. I did the visualization of my aura surrounded by a gold mesh net that blocks out all harmful or energies that are not in the highest integrity, and allows in the energies that support me or are love. Then, I did the funnel of golden universal light coming down into my crown chakra and filing me with Universal love and Christ Force energy. That was pretty grounding for me to start the day like that.

The other night I was watching The Dog Whisperer right before bed, and after turning it off, I lay there and meditated on cultivating “calm, assertive energy” in my own life.
It seems to be working fabulously on the dogs who used to harass me on my daily walk/run, but it seems like this approach would also work wonders with problem people.
If only I could be like Cesar when I grow up!
