3500 to go! 3 months ago

rhonda27starting this week

Putting in an extra $50 a fortnight and this starts this week. This will save me about 5 months and $170 in interest. I intend to increase this in March when Soundwave and Bluesfest saving is done! 4 months ago

swinglifeaway316Had to call them

because my first payment is due the 13th of this month and I haven’t received anything yet…the woman was really friendly and gave me my account number and where to mail the payments and an online login and password. 13 months ago

swinglifeaway316my payments are cheaper

than I was told they would be, which is nice. I was told at first that they would be $200-$250 a month, but they’re less than $200. I will will probably try to put $200-$250 towards it though. Just waiting on my new car insurance policy so I can finish my budget and see how much extra I can put towards this & my student loans. (And figure out how much I can put into my savings each month). 14 months ago

bermudamohawkbiting the bullet

Well, after months of putting this off for no good reason, I just paid off my car loan! I realized that my goal of not dipping into my savings account was ridiculous (as I’m paying much more in interest on my car loan than I’m accruing in my savings account). I didn’t actually have to dip in to pay (because today’s payday), but chances are I’ll need to take a bit out over the next couple of weeks. And that’s OK. I’m getting into a saving rhythm, and this is a HUGE saving in the long run because I won’t be paying interest on this loan for the next two years. Woo! 19 months ago

bermudamohawkI'd like to do this

without dipping into my savings account. I think I can pull it off by the end of this year. Oh, how glorious it would be to get rid of this debt! 19 months ago
