Does anyone else do this? 2 years ago

I’ve been struggling with acne since I turned 14 right after I started high school. I’m 25 turning 26 in July. Thinking back that was when my diet went to shit. I started eating candybars and drinking sodas every day when in the past I had had sweets maybe at the most 3 times a week usually more like 1 or 2 times a week. I see a connection between my diet and my skin which dermatologists deny until it makes them blue in the face okay great so why does my skin clear up when I eat better? My worst break outs are the week before and the week of my period I’m assuming it’s hormonal I also break out when under extreme stress and I am less stress resiliant I would say that many people.

I started a new Regamin of Murad I use the cleanser followed by the salicilic acid topical and then lotion and sunscreen. At night I was repeating the same thing with a sulfa topical but after 4 weeks all that had happend was I had more black and white heads and they were larger than before. So I started using a Vichy exfoliating scrub for acne and a benzoyl peroxide 5.5% topical by vichy I also use a Vichy night cream thats supposed to correct skin discoloration etc. My skin is definately drying the the benzoyl peroxide has made it tighter and is shrinking my pores after only 2 days of use. I am experiencing some dryness. According to my recent research though it takes 6-8 weeks to see any results from a new acne regamin; so if this shiznit doesn’t work I’m going back to gentle cleanser and Retin-a Micro with a lotion, that worked in the past. It’s been 12 years that I’ve had acne on and off and I’m still looking for a cure. However I have never ever in my life been so serious and dedicated to treating my skin twice daily hopefully with diligence I can clear up this self esteem damaging issue and move on to fraxel laser to get rid of the scars. 2 years ago

janegallagherI'm kind of a slacker.

I’ve had this goal on here for YEARS. Sad, yes? My skin is definitely clearer now just from nature/growing up, but it’s still not great.

I need to start washing/moisturizing at least once a day, if not twice; keeping my pillow cases washed; exfoliating (I hear sugar is good for this?); and drinking more water. 2 years ago

accutane. three months in… several months to go! 2 years ago

goldencurtainMain problem: acne scars

I’m almost completely rid of the pimples. What finally really did it for me was Proactiv. But I still constantly have a few zits on my face – still, really much, much better than before.

Plan:
Any good cleanser + Glycolic toner + whitening moisturizer
Save 30, 000
Derma-roller x 6 sessions 2 years ago

I want nothing but clear skin! I’ve literally tried everything in the world. I’ve used proactiv for a year, but it didn’t work good on my skin. I’ve tried clean & clear, Neutrogena, and basically everything else. I don’t eat alot of fatty foods that would help erritate the skin, and I exercise daily. im on birth control, and I just started a month ago… they put me on it cause of my skin and also I went to the derrmologist couple weeks ago and they put me on some kind of pills that would help my acne. I’ve tried all of it, facials and what not but nothing seems to work! I would really like to have clear skin before school starts again, if anyone has any suggestions that would be great! thanks (: 2 years ago
