I’ve gone ahead and sent ROUX!!! the money due to her for the three shirts that have been ordered so far, not really doing a very good accounting of the cost of materials and shipping then to me, completely donating my time involved, and sent her a whopping $70!

I was getting set to mail out the shirts tomorrow, taking the risk that the recipients will love them and not ask for their money back, but then I left the mailing envelopes at the studio when I picked up the shirts. If I could stretch this project out more with my doofus ways, it seems I certainly will. But I figured that ROUX!!! could use the cashola sooner than later, even if the shirts don’t mail till Thursday.

What a cool thing! I’d rather have one than a lot of shirts I know about.
If I had the money, I’d buy 4 or 5 and give them to a few 43’ers I know and a few others.
But some of them are guys. And there are no guys shirts? Alas.
How totally neat.
Thank you for the unexpected gift this will be and also for the fact that I can FINALLY stop feeling guilty for signing up to do this, and then NOT doing it!

So there was no resounding cry across the land for the ROUX inspired shirt, but two orders ain’t bad! I’ve ordered the blanks to do the work upon, and went ahead and updated the order page for another round of preorders for another round of batik-in’. I mean, why not, she is still pregnant…
I also figure once I get some decent photos of the newer shirt, it might tempt those otherwise yet to be tempted… 6 years ago
Sending off another little donation this morning…and wanted to remind everyone that the preordering for the ROUX! inspired, commemorative shirt design ends this Wednesday.
Get some orders in! The more orders there are, the better the ‘margin’ and the more money that ROUX! will receive!

Not as tasty as a bake sale, but the next best thing is the self-esteem boosting batik design that I’ve made to benefit our awesome friend ROUX!
All proceeds will be donated straight to her!
It’s a pre-order, as batik is a little labor intensive and time consuming, so I wanted to try to get some orders to allow for a batch production, which is a little easier.
