Dear 43 Things Users,

10 years after introducing 43 Things to the world, we have decided we have met our last goal: completing the incredible experience that has been 43 Things. Please join us in giving one last cheer to all the folks who have shared their goals with the world, as well as all the people who have worked at The Robot Co-op to build this incredible website. We won a Webby Award, published a book, and brought happiness to a lot of people.

Starting today, 43 Things users can export their goals and entries from the site. Starting August 15, we will make the site “read only”. 43 Things users will still be able to view the site and export their content, but we won’t be taking any new content from users. We hope to leave the site up for folks to see and download their content until the end of the year. Ending on New Year’s Eve takes us full circle.

It has been a long ride (one of our original goals was to "build a company that lasts at least 2 years” - we beat that one!) While we wish the site could live on, it has suffered from a number of challenges - changes in how people use the site, the advertising industry, and how search engines view the site. We wish the outcome was different – but we’ve always been realistic about when our goals are met and when they aren't.

As of today, you will be able to download your goals and entries. See more about that on the FAQ page. Thanks for 10 great years of goal-setting and achieving.

ok so,

i’ve never had flawless skin. as a baby, of course. but as soon as i hit puberty, my face and body began flowing with acne. ugh !

so, i would try everything, and nothing truly worked, because i was going about it all wrong.

now that i’m into holistic health, i’ve taken a natural approach to my skin, and it’s helped dramatically ! now that i’m in a process of cleansing, my skin does break out every now and then to release those toxins, but i’ve been using lots of tea tree, aloe, and lemon juice to combat that. tea tree is an awesome antibacterial/inflammation agent, aloe is moisturizing, soothing, anti-microbial, and great for scarring. Lemon juice is pretty much like a bleach, i’m using it to fade these horrible scars.

i plan to do MORE by taking supplements (which ones!), doing healing visualizations, meditation/yoga, and massage. also most importantly, my diet. but i got that !

watch me glow . 5 years ago

SerenavdWoodsenOnly problem

I think I’m pretty lucky to have very few facial blemishes, but their are soooo many zits on my hairline! I went to the doctor and they told me to use triple antibiotic every night for a week or until it’s gone. I’ve been using it for 4 days and it’s a little better. Also, their are huge grey bags under my eyes and people say to use a cheesecloth and potato so I’m going to try that. 6 years ago

UnknownThe Sunshine and All Its Glory

I used to use a lot of products on my skin but I went away on holiday last summer and forgot to use them. I came back and don’t use anything anymore since my skin has cleared up, and it seems to be staying that way =) 6 years ago

b0ngsn0tb0mbschemical peels

well i’m going to try chemical peels. i found some on ebay for a decent price. i’m somewhat wary about the after effects though.. with the skin peeling and what not. but supposedly they have amazing results. and i’m so ready for perfect skin! hoping and praying this shit works.

got the chemical peels, tried the glycolic acid peel… made my skin burn pretty bad and frost up like a tca peel does. i did the peel on tues night and i have had redness on the areas i did the peel, like a sunburn. i noticed the redness has somewhat lightened up but i’m still freaking out. glycolic peels are not supposed to make your skin frost up or turn red or burn etc. i am just praying and praying to god my skin will go back to normal and not stay red. my skin is EXTREMELY dry and right now the skin is flaking off. well my advice to anyone and everyone is DON’T EVER DO A CHEMICAL PEEL! if you must have one then let a professional do it, there is a reason why they cost over $100. don’t risk fucking up and having your face look 10 times worse than before. now i am waiting for my face to heal… it really sucks too because on thanksgiving my boyfriend wanted me to go to his house to hang out and eat, plus meet some of his family from ny. but i told him no way look at my face i can’t go anywhere. ugh it sucked so bad, i don’t want to go anywhere out in public till this shit heals, it looks like i have a skin rash/disease or some shit. YUCK. i bought a neutrogena microdermabrasion kit at walmart earlier though, i heard microdermabrasion is amazing and there is no healing time or anything. now i just have to wait until my face heals before i can use it. grrr… i’m impatient. 7 years ago

GRRRR. i don’t know what to do anymore.. my skin is such a pain in the ass. i swear i think i have the worst skin ever. i still have some scars from acne back when i was 13 or 14, and now i’m breaking out with actual zits. and its not just on my face, i have started to break out on my shoulders as well. i wash my face 2 or 3 times a day and my shoulders as well but they still won’t stop breaking out. i’m soooo frustrated. i’m about to buy some Proactiv.

here is a good website with a bunch of info 7 years ago
