We’ve been watching a TV program, where they raced on the Bonneville salt flats. I quite like the idea of going to the Grand Canyon for some hiking, sights and peaceful time, Vegas for some lights and Monument Valley for the landscape. And now adding the flats to the list. A friend at work had done a tour around a bunch of parks, might ask her about the hghlights. 4 months ago

My husband and I started traveling the U.S. in a van and the Grand Canyon was one of our first big stops. Before we started traveling, we bought a one year national park pass so we got in with that for free and a lot of other parks around the country too. The Grand Canyon was incredibly large, you cannot truly grasp that until you go there. I was disappointed that we were not able to hike down to the Colorado River. It is at least a two-day round trip and requires a back-country permit and all the camping works. But we did go down into the canyon a little on a day-hike and that was worth it to get a better perspective on the size. I was amazed at the size of the whole thing…for some reason, I didn’t expect it to be so big! Lol. 8 months ago

Was surprised with a trip to the Grand Canyon by my ex-fiance on our 2 (or 3?) year anniversary. We flew in a small aircraft from Vegas and visited for a day. It was awesome. 11 months ago

I was never interested in seeing it for some reason but when I was there it was one of the most beautiful and amazing things I’ve ever seen! 15 months ago

My mother works for AirTran (Now Southwest) and so I get free flights to anywhere in the country (minus AK & HI) and I just took the first step and asked her if we could visit sometime. Looks like we’ll be going the second week of December. Stoked! 18 months ago

So my boyfriend/fiancee decided to surprise me and take me to the grand canyon. It was so kool and so scary. I felt like I was gonna fall off the edge whenI was still standing in the street. I guess it’s because I’m scared of heights. But anyways I really suggest you go there sometime. It doesn’t even have to be that expensive! I suggest bringing banoculars though, kuz the ones in the buildings don’t work that good. 21 months ago
