Well I chose. Wow. The whole daunting admissions thing is just… over. It’s kind of anticlimax now that I know where I’m going after spending hours and hours and hours with essays and random crap like that. But rejoice! I know where I’m going to school. And it’s a good college too. The first day of school next year, I’ll mark this off my list, because I’ll be at Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, New York if I don’t change my mind in the next three days. :)

I just visited Mac. I liked it a lot. I’m visiting Vassar on Tuesday. I guess I’ll end up picking Mac or Vassar. I’ll know May 1st.

Well I got into Vassar, but they haven’t sent me a finaid packet yet. I did get mine from Macalester yesterday. It’s looking more and more like I’ll be at Mac next year. I also got a $17,000 scholarship a year to IU Bloomington so that’s not completely out of the question either.

I was wait-listed for Kenyon. I feel horribly incompetent. It was my top choice school for a while. I feel like I did something wrong, even though I know I tried as hard as I could. I guess wait-listed isn’t the same as rejected. It just feels kind of terrible.

I’m in at Macalester! They accepted 480 out of the 5040 who applied. I’m so proud of myself for getting through the 9.5% acceptance rate. Now I only have to wait on Vassar, Kenyon, and the financial aid info.

I came home today and brought the mail in. I wasn’t really expecting anything, but there something was: an envelope addressed to me with congratulations written on the front. Sure enough, I was accepted to NYU. I’m afraid of their next letter—telling me how much I’m supposed to pay if I choose to go there. I doubt I got scholarships there since so many students apply. I guess I’m still waiting tos ee if I get into Kenyon, Macalester, and Vassar.
