Every time I hear the trumpet – whether it is in Imelda May’s band or the Special’s Ghost Town – I get really happy.

I have no musical talent. I tried to learn the piano when I was a kid and it scared me. I don’t even know if I could read music. I would love to learn, I think it would open up a new dimension to life – shall we get cracking? 4 years ago

I need to make more tangible goals. As for this one, I’ve been playing trumpet in public for over a year now. There are kids in the school band who don’t even know I played anything else before. I want to check this off. I don’t know when I will. Maybe when I can play a cover of “Black Magic Woman.”
