How I did it: I *finally* made it out to Monterey Bay with two girlfriends for an early morning whale watching trip. It was fantastic - we saw a blue whale, 2 humpbacks, a family of at least 7 dolphins, seals, sea otters, jellyfish, and more! All of this in less than 3 hours and with very thick fog. How I did it: I tagged along with a friend who booked a whale watching tour with the "prince of whales" company in Victoria, BC. at six we showed up at the dock and we loaded into a boat with the rest of the tour, for the next three hours we were witnesses to orca whales in their natural habitat. How I did it: You don't have to go crazy far away to see a variety of whales. For me I have seen them on a couple different occasions. Quebec actually has one of the most diverse sea populations on the Earth! Including 13 species of large sea animals. How I did it: We booked a cruise to Alaska.  When in Juneau we arranged for a whale watching excursion.  We went out into Auke Bay in a small boat and were able to get up fairly close to the whales. We didn't see any big breaches, but we saw numerous whales break the surface of the water and saw many of them spouting.  Read how I did it…
