How I did it: This summer I went to Japan through a short student exchange program. How I did it: Visited In June 2011 – My dad paid for most of my ticket with airmiles, and the hotel/food/travel was passed off as business expenses. (I’ll never have it that cheap again!)We stayed for just over a week in total, and stayed in Tokyo for all but one day when we went to Kamakura. I had such a good time, and can’t wait to go again! How I did it: Found an important person in Japan to visit which provided the impetus. This person made arrangements to visit Tokyo, Kyoto, and Hiroshima.
