How I did it: I wanted to visit Japan ever since I was around 14 years old. When I was in high school the Japanese program was organising a trip to go, I did not think I would qualify but I did. I went in the summer of 2008 with a group of my classmates, we home stayed in 2 different cities (Osaka and Miyazaki.) We also spent a weekend in Tokyo, and a weekend in Nagano prefecture.
