How I did it: I have run into Yoga Alliance at the lake in my town, and I took the contact, I found myself nearest instructor and confidently went to the first class. How I did it: I learned some basic poses through the video "Yoga for Dummies." Yeah, I know. But the instructor was great, and it goes over the most common poses in a lot of detail. I did yoga videos at home for awhile, only occasionally trying a class at the gym. About six weeks ago, I took my first class at a real studio. How I did it: The workout uses the weight of the body and utilizes gravity as a form of resistence. The key is to control the breathing when doing the exercises so that the body can withstand through each exercise.
