We did this a day earlier – on sunday, because everyone is so busy on weekdays. So we had a great dinner and a perfect weather on that day :)

russellviii Bagging a new airport is all in a day's work
I had very good intentions, but I had to leave town for my work on that day. Perhaps I can give it a go next year.
JudithKD Hello? Where did I go?
Since we eat together almost every night, that is not special. But taking time to just relax together is!

I was late getting in, but we all had wonderful meatball sandwiches! We also enjoyed watching our son feed himself meatballs! What a mess!
in that we usually do sit down and eat dinner together every night but yesterday made me notice a lot of little things: Todd was off work so he put Sophie on the bus and took her off (how many Dads get to do that very often?) and then they played outside after school. Sophie did her homework and we ate dinner. Then after their baths, we sat on the couch and read books.
It is these little things, these routines and comforts, that make all the difference in the life of a family and of children…
Talked to my sister and brother-in-law on the phone, and had a great time. Mom and dad were out of town, so I have to get ahold of them some other time. Then spent some time with friends (my extended family) drinking tea and babbling about current affairs. All is good :)
Thanks yrush for the wonderful idea of starting this goal.
We had dinner together and made sure we took our time, instead of gobbling down food then rushing off to whatever else is waiting. Then I spent some time with my son, played some games before going off to bed. Pretty relaxed evening, I’d say. My dad confirmed that my mum is coming home for a month-long vacation. So that’s definitely great news. Must plan another family trip while she’s around. Going back to Fraser’s Hill would be great.
Since we don’t have kids. But my husband and I went to dinner tonight. He had some major dental work done this morning, so we just had salads and then went grocery shopping for non-crunchy and non-chewy foods.
My husband was away because of work, but I made a nice dinner for my four-year-old and me. We almost always eat dinner together, and Family Day was a nice pretext to talk on my mother on the phone. I enjoyed it :)
lob relaxing...
weren’t enough. My 14-year old son was in a rotten mood. He spent the whole dinner complaining, mainly about his little brother. Well, not our best Family Dinner, but we can keep on trying.
