Kim N is excited about NaSoAlMo 2009
When I bought the new pickets for the fence, the guy at Lowes asked me if I wanted [xyz] kind or [abc] kind. I shrugged, so he asked if the kind I wanted were orange-ish. I thought the newest ones on my fence were yellow-ish, so I told him that, and he hooked me up with yellow-ish pickets. Now you can see from the picture that I should have gone with the orange-ish ones.
This task was loud. Pounding nails into a fence echoes all over the neighborhood.

It took me quite a long time to find the pickets at Lowes. I had to ask a couple of people. The first guy I told me I could go to Lawn and Garden or Commercial Something-or-other. I chose Lawn and Garden first, but I only found real fancy fence stuff (aluminum and metal fencing). At Commercial whatever (on the other end of the store, of course), the guy was very nice and told me the pickets were outside, but I could pay for them inside and pick them up on my way out. That worked pretty well.
Except when I got to my car, I realized I’d forgotten the nails and had to go back inside. heh
Pictured is the hole in the fence I need to fix and some leaves I raked.

Thax is trying to keep my head above water
My gf’s aunt has decided to let the contractor who is already here fix the fence rather than me. She didn’t know I was gonna, and really I hadn’t made any movement toward, so… I guess that will get it done. Failure to act on my part, so one down for me. dangit.
