Take a 3-week trip once a year

Well, just wanted to say that this is an ongoing goal of mine. So far I’m on track—in 2007 I returned to Paris for the first time in 7 years, and in 2008 I went to China and Hong Kong for three weeks. Next year is supposed to be two family trips, broken up into a one-week trip to the Grand Canyon and a 2-week trip to Hawaii. If that doesn’t come through for some reason, I would like to have a backup, 3-week trip in mind by June, to be taken in the fall of 09. Egypt with some friends? Australia?

These are the places I would like to visit, offhand.

US, cross-country

Colorado (Red Rocks)
Arizona
Wyoming
Hawaii
Tahiti
Iceland (Reykjavik)

And then of course I wouldn’t mind visiting Germany, China, Japan, etc.
