I can already sew a little. I helped my mom sew my Easter dresses and things when I was little, then I took sewing lessons in my teens. I have made dolls and things and a few tops, but I’d like to make whole outfits from organic material and learn to dye them naturally. 1 month ago

DouglasI am making progress

I and slowly learning about how to sew. I went to the Sewing and Enbroidery Expo over this weekend. I have also been looking at some books on fabric (e.g. “All About Cotton”, “All About Wool”).
My current plan is to make an apron for myself. I cook a lot and can always use another one. Still a ways off from making one since I don’t have a sewing machine yet. But I am giving this goal energy. 2 months ago

niekoolienNot really

Not really for me. I have many nice ideas but not the patience to actually sit down and do it. I made a few clothes in sewing class, they didnt quite looked like what i had in mind. I’m never gonna be making my clothes. Maybe in the future i’ll make something again, but buying, borrowing and recycling seems to be my best way to go. 4 months ago

genguTailor, for real!

I am marking this goal as done, since I started making clothes with my tailor friend! :) And it is not just for us, we are planning on expanding this to become a small business, since people really like it and always ask us to make them stuff. :)
P.S. These are our Halloween costumes in the picture. That we made, of course. :) 6 months ago

It wasn’t easy and right now I have rather gone off it. The teacher wasn’t as good as I expected- not very attentive. The machines were awfully fiddly and too much was expected. I don’t love sewing enough to do it every day for hours, but maybe I should, so I improve. We’ll see. 9 months ago
