How to drive on a long road trip by mephi412

"I've done this several times and it's always great!"

How I did it: Driving.... driving.... stopping to eat and use the facilities.... driving... driving.... stopping for photo opps.... driving... driving.... and more driving... occasionally napping.

Have gone from MN to AZ and back twice.... MN to NYC.... MN to CA and around.... Those are the longest ones.

Lessons & tips: Do it in one straight shot if at all possible.  So great to drive through the night and see the sun rise.  But, if you feel sleepy, please rest, even if it's just a cat nap.

    Does Minneapolis to New York City and back through Canada count?

    I also just moved from St. Paul to southern Arizona, though I don’t consider that a real road trip. I did it in 23 hours or so. Don’t recommend that.

    ...to Atlanta and back in a day, but, so far, that’s the farthest by car. I’m going to have to do much better than that! :)
