paint and draw

I’m auditing an art class and we’re doing a copy of a Degas painting in oil pastels. Mine is almost finished! Maybe I’ll post a picture of it, depending on how embarrassed I am. So far, I think it looks pretty good. I’m giving it the old college try!

but i have picked up writing again. surfing through my word documents i found a story i started back in ‘03. yesterday i found a site with exercises by way of a yahoo writing group. so i was able to develop my characters and my plot is more stable. I am going to try and write everyday. not like i am doing something else. and this can be my escape from the mundane.

I have done all sorts of things to get prepared, now I just have to do it! I keep trying to get some concept in my head, prepare further… spontaneous art is the best. In photography I just click, but really it’s not different in drawing or painting, there are just spontaneous steps instead.

I have the equipment, I have the paper, I just don’t have a subject to draw?
