It was called The Devil Bat. It starred Bela Lugosi.
It was so good that I fell asleep through large portions of it.

I have a passion for really bad Sci-Fi movies. Every week UEN, one of our local educational stations, has a program called UEN Sci-Fi Friday.
You can be that R9 and I are watching it each and every Friday evening that we are home. We’ve watched some real classics:
The Crawling HandWasp WomanSon of GodzillaTeenagers from Outer Space
This is just to name a few. We love to play the MST3K game while we watch, making quips during the movie. Some of these movies have already been on MST3K. http://www.uen.org/News/news_group.cgi?category_id=340
Some of these films are really great fodder for quips. I think that so far The Crawling Hand has been the best in this category. Making up lines for this one was like shooting fish in a barrel. We spent most of the movie saying things like:’
“Hey, give me a hand over here.”
“Boy isn’t this…handy?”
“Un-hand me!”
“Were you expecting some sort of a handout?”
“Will you take my hand in marriage?”
“Do you need a hand?”
Seriously, could there be any better father-son tradition than this?
