Worth doing!
I went three year with out TV back in college and now i i have kicked it to the curb again. i am into my second year and don’t miss it one bit!
best part is that i don’t hear myself say over and over again…i want to do this…but…still… i just do it. :)
I moved back to North Dakota the middle of May and havent gotten TV yet. I find I dont miss it at all. I do watch a lot of movies though and John keeps saying he wants to get basic cable for football season but I’ll fight him.
Worth doing!
around December, we never watched it to even justify $12 a month. Now it’s nice and quiet enough to…hear the neighbor next door blast her’s.
Oh well…
Worth doing!
I haven’t completely given up TV. Rather, I do TV on my own terms.
I gave up commercial TV about three years ago. I have a Netflix account, which is great for documentaries. I no longer just waste hours in front of the tube, channel surfing and getting annoyed at commercials. I’m not a slave to being at home at a certain time, and I avoid the expense of a cable package with 83 more channels than I’ll ever have an interest in viewing.
I get out more. I read much more than I used to, and my reading subjects have expanded greatly. I stay in better contact with people.
I’m never going back.
