My son is 2 and 1/2 and he despises the potty most of the time, even though he liked it at first…. guess I have a long road ahead of me.
didn’t interest Ramona. Neither did stickers, or anything else we tried. So I stopped doing that and just put her potty in front of the TV, not allowing her to watch TV unless she was sitting on the potty. We did that for several weeks so she could put in lots of potty time and experience a lot of successes.
And now the rewards seem to be finishing the job. Ramona has had clean and dry pants, except for overnight and naptime, for three days. Yay!
But I won’t call this goal done just yet, at least until we’re accident free for awhile longer.
My 4-year-old does very well in his undies during the day, but still needs a pull-up at night as he can’t get through the night without peeing.
She still has a little accident about once a day, but it’s manageable. We’ve got other things to work on, so this one is coming off the list.
She enjoyed training her drinking and wetting dolly Emma, and practicing running to the potty with her. She didn’t much like actually sitting on the potty. But all in all, a good start.
No accidents this weekend. We’re going skiing next weekend, and she’ll have her first lesson, so hopefully she’ll be OK for that.
preferably my daughter, Ramona. I plan to start training her after our California trip, and after out of town guests have gone. The target date for beginning is July 12.
... but not great either. On Saturday, she only had one accident, but it was a poo, so kind of gross. And on Sunday, she wet her knickers twice, but once was while her dad was carrying her (to the toilet), and he’s not always the most understanding of this stage. We haven’t had a dry day since November 2006. She says she hates nappies, so why doesn’t she get the hang of this?
