The last time i went was in 2003 with my father, I never saw the beach. I want to stay for a while because from where I am it’s all the way across the country. I want to see the pacific ocean!

How I did it: Was able to go there for work on business! I was lucky enough to get chosen to train a customer out in Ventura, CA - which isn't too far from where I used to live. Read how I did it…
How I did it: I just moved there from the East Coast. It's always more difficult to move a long way away, but I did it. You end up leaving a lot of things behind. It's still worth it. I started a whole new life that way. Read how I did it…
How I did it: Got tickets for amtrak. Took a vacation. Visited my friends. Flew out of NYC, and had $250 tickets. Flew into San Francisco and bummed around for a few days, visited long beach, etc. And then took the public transportation to the Amtrak terminal. Took the day-long railroad, and saw the West like I"d never ever seen it before. It was beautiful. Flew home, and had a camera full of used film, and some new smile lines creasing my cheeks. How I did it: A road trip with some buddies. We traveled up and down the west coast visiting New Port, Hollywood, San Diego, San Fracnisco & Las Vegas. Truely amazing journey. Read how I did it…
How I did it: I knew someone in California and purchased some plane tickets and went. That's about all I did. However due to a 150 character minimum, I have to write at least 150 characters. This is 200 characters. Read how I did it…

Our summer 2009 vacation will be in California.
I still have a few vacation details to organize, and time is running short.
We fly in & out of LA, go to Joshua Tree, San Diego, Sequoia, Monterey, Big Sur & down the coast back to LA.
I lived in California for six years. I lived near Monterey Bay and then San Diego. It’s beautiful to visit, but too expensive to live there.
my cousin chic lives in california… he always comes to ct to visit us, i’d love to go visit him one day.
I know I have “visit the other 50 states” listed, too. I just though California needed to be singled out. As a total car guy, I have to visit Southern California once, drive on the Pacific Coast Highway, etc. I might skip L.A., though. Giant redwoods would be cool to see, too, and maybe Mt. Tam (mountain biking’s birthplace,) although I’d have to keep an eye out for mountain lions.

If you haven’t been to CA you must do it asap!! So beautiful out there in my opinion. The majority of the people are so much nicer / friendlier than that of the East Coast (again my opinion but hey!) and the environment is just lovely. The air is not filled with humidity and the temperatures rock. So much to do out there and very worth going, I HIGHLY reccomend you accomplish this goal.
Do it for you asap!
