How to track my menstrual cycle
How I did it: The how depends more on the individual. This is a subject that at some point effects every humans life whether your female or male. Yet so many are embarrassed or afraid. I recommend a system that fits who you are and how you live and then just follow..... I recommend that young women get into the habit of doing this no matter the circumstances as this record of information your doctor will always ask at every visit whether it related or not and in the future could proof to be helpful if its needed. you never know. Also get your hormone levels checked and know what your personal normal level is.
Lessons & tips: There are many options available to keep track, depending on what info is needed or not. Calendars of all sorts of sizes can be tucked in a purse or briefcase, hung on a wall or simply enter a code into your planner, internet sites or programs can help remind you, and then again you can create a simple or complicated spreadsheet on your pc/mac.
Resources: You can find all sorts of internet sites or programs for purchase. some plain and boring many with interesting bells and whistles and still some with help reminders.

LPBraun needs to do some cardio & posture exercises!
Okay, I just recorded my menstrual dates for this cycle. I had to update the settings because all 3 sites were off. I’ll check again next time around. I do like using the sites versus an actual calendar. I never have to worry about losing my info & it will be great to print for the gyno.

I have been keeping track of my periods on a regular calendar for the past couple years. I have been wanting to try an online free source and I am torn between 3 sites.
1 – www.kotex.com – their calendar is easy to record period dates and to type notes such as “sex” or period symptoms. It also predicts the next period.
2 – www.mycycle.com – really handy for predicting next ovulation date in addition to everything else.
3 – www.mymonthlycycles.com – also tells all fertile days! I just don’t care for the set up & not great for printing.
I have no idea! It needs to be easy & fun to be able to stick with it!

I’ve been doing this for a few years, but decided, hey why not check it off as something I’ve done! Not only do I think this is “worth it” but I feel that every girl/woman should track her cycle from the moment she starts. Obviously not everyone does that, and I didn’t track mine from the start either, but I would recommend for women to do so. It really helps with gyno visits, predicting your next period, knowing when you are fertile, and just knowing your body. Lately I’ve also made marks when I experience pms type symptoms like strange mood swings and food cravings. It’s definitely been interesting, and helps me calm down during said mood swings, since I can look at my chart and say “see, this is just pms, things are ok.”
Mymonthlycycles.com is the one that I thought was the best.
I was actually really surprised at how off the wall my cycle was. I have an appointment with a gyno to help me get regulated and figure out what’s going on with my hormone levels. I’m so glad that I started tracking this!
i came across a website called www.mymonthlycycles.com that helps with this a lot :)
I’m so glad I’m doing this. I feel like I’m claiming my body as mine – getting to know another litle part of myself. It’s one of those easy goals that’s done as soon as you decide to do it.
This sucks. I never worried about it before. Now that I know when it’s been 28 days I’m paranoid that I may be pregnant! I know, it’s better to know my body’s cycles and learn to have a healthier thought process than to be ignorant and blissful. But it still sucks.
Added later: It’s worth the initial paranoia to get to know my body better. I’m still following through on this goal.
