As a kid I used to get this little kit that includes a straw and tube of glue-like substance. It reminds me of glass blowing. You basically take a little wab of glue and stick it at the end of the straw. Then, you blow on the other side and magically a little round bubble-type shape comes about. It’s beautiful and colorful. Glass-blowing must be somewhat like this.

JunieMoon is up in smoke and burnt down to size
I live in Orange County CA. Does anyone know of a good place to take glassblowing?
As far as I’ve researched, the colleges around here don’t offer it. Thanks!!

So I’m not very good at it. I’ve made a ton of paperweights but I feel like I’m the worst student in my class. At least I have the know how though even if I’m not spectacular at it.

So I signed up for a glass blowing class. This should be interesting.

... but glass blowing seems to be such a different art form, and an interesting process. The kind of thing that leads to the type of creativity you don’t even realize you have because it needs a very specific outlet.
