Okay I haven’t been on here in a while, but since the last time, I went to Europe and visited 7 countries with my friends. While I was there I FINALLY set foot in the ocean. My suggestion: Close you’re mouth while swimming, it is SAL-TAY haha.
How to swim in an ocean
How I did it: I went to Europe with my school, I had been saving for YEARS!!! We went to Italy, Germany, England, Switzerland, Belgium, the Netherlands and Spain! Finally, when we were in Spain, I went in the ocean. It was windy, but very warm, and even with how hot it was, I wasn't sure if I could do it. I was afraid of sharks and fish, but nonetheless, as soon as I dipped my foot in, I had to dive through the waves. The water was cold, but it was soo amazing.

I live a block away from the Atlantic. The smell of salt and air in the summer is amazing…
I went out to Ocean Beach in San Francisco, and dove in. It was cold and frightening. I mean, come on, jelly fish, sharks, medical waste, amourous dolphins and sea lions, surfers. There is some seriously scarry shit under those waves. But I did it, 4 years after I first tickled my toes in it.
It was awesome to be salty and bouyant for a moment. It felt GOOD. I hope to find a less rough spot to really get some swimming in, but I was underwater with my feet off the ground for a few minutes.
lob watching my son dance in The Nutcracker tonight
near the Pacific Ocean. Strangely enough I’ve never had much affinity for the ocean, but always prefered the mighty river instead.
I was down in Zinkwazi in December, I had my first real swim in the sea… at 23! mostly because I was scared shitless of being poked by a stingray a la Steve Irwin style or being eaten by seamonkeys or something. I don’t trust what is under the sea.
Believe it or not I am 16 years old, and have never set foot, arm or head in the ocean before. I don’t know what it smells like or what it looks like, but I really want to expirience it!
