How to make friends with people who live in the same city as me

How I did it: Go to the mall, walk around with one ortwo people you know and be courageous. If you're new in town, walk up to someone who looks nice and say something like "Hey, I just moved here and I'm looking for new friends. Let's be friends." That is a bit straightforward but it will work

So I moved to Dallas in May 2004. Since then I managed to meet a few people who are my friends. And then my boyfriend too, but the majority of my friends are still back in Chicago. So… I think I need to meet more people in Dallas to be friends with. Or at least call and hang out with the people who are already my friends who I never see becuase I never bother to call or visit them. That will be my new goal I think.. Hmmph..!

and sitting at home on the internet talking to people i can’t hang out with anymore because i don’t have any friends in the city i where i’ve lived since i was born is so sad. so sad.
