During Lent, we didn’t give things up. We tried to give. Every time we turned on a tap, we put 10 centimes in a pot and after a week when it had got too expensive for us, we gave the sum to Water Aid. Then we put our centimes in every time we left a light on – that was manageable. That went to Christian Aid. Now it’s a habit although living in France with its nuclear power, we’re apparently not helping global warming much by our good practice. Are we???

Why is this so hard

I know it is something that I need to do, and I actually think I’m pretty good at doing it. Nevertheless, at least once a week my wife reminds me that I’ve left a light on.
..and then there was light...

This one’s a tough one. I’m always being bitched at for leaving the lights on when I’m the last one leaving a room….it seems easy enough to be able to work on…yet so hard at the same time.
