Keep stacks of cash, a gold bar, a bottle of wiskey and a gun in a safe.

All I have is wiskey 2 years ago

I have no safe yet. They cost a little bit, but one day I might just buy one. I’ll probably keep more things in it than just said items. Such as important papers, passports, DVDR backups of family photos.

Gold bars come in many sizes. Maybe I should buy just a very small one first, instead of dreaming about one day buying a large one. I Norway (unlike EU) you actually have to pay VAT on investment gold, so I don’t think many people invest in physical gold.

About the gun: I used to shoot handguns in a club, but my wife said she would never allow me to have a weapon in our house. When you don’t have a weapon of your own, you can’t really compete in that sport, so I quit. In Norway you have to be active in a shooting sport to get a license to own a handgun. Some obstacles there… Will a BB-gun do the trick?

But still the hardest part might be keeping a stack of cash, instead of spending it. How big is a stack? Does it have to be large denominations? Maybe a good way to start is just a small stack of 10 50-kroner notes.

    Oh yeah 3 years ago

Why is this such an attractive idea to me? Is it machismo? Is it that false sense of security? Or have I found my inner bad boy?
