Something i’ve wanted to do for years but not done. I’ve made a first design for this and need to pass it on to the tattoo man to clean up but definitely want this.

I’ve been studying art for about 17 years and I could never think of a tattoo I’d like to have for the rest of my life, I’ve drawn countless sketches hoping I could find the right one then one night I was dreaming about my mother, who passed away 3 years ago, and as soon as I woke up I got a pen and paper and started drawing my moms name in cool, interlacing writing with lines and different types of designs running through it and I knew it was what I wanted. I drove into the city as quick as I could, showed the tattoo artist the design and he did it for me. It was the most spontaneous thing I’ve ever done but it was completely worth it. I think if your going to do this you have to have serious meaning behind the tattoo or Id say you will get bored of it and you may regret it. good luck!
I have wanted at least one tattoo for as long as I can remember. I could just go to a parlor and have one done, but I want something I can cherish. I want something with meaning.
The idea I’m currently trying to work on is a lighthouse. As I have no real direction in my life, a lighthouse is the perfect reminder to try and find whatever it is I’m looking for. This would be on my right ankle, as a way to “guide my feet”.
Along the same lines, once I find whatever I’m looking for, I plan to get an anchor on my left ankle.
UniqueSoul is relaxing and reading!
I have wanted a tattoo for the so many years but I want something that is unique and means something to me. I would love to design one but I just never seem to just sit down and do it. So here I go to get the sketchbook to at least get some ideas.
emiliakaarina first night in the new home
since I’ve been thinking about the tattoo a lot recently.
Still loads of planning to do for it, but I’m nearing a decision, I think. At least I’m 100% sure about what it’s going to be. n__n And I’m pretty sure where it’s going to be, so I’m doing pretty good.

I hate the idea of getting a tattoo just to have one. But the one I want to get really means something to me. I just don’t know exactly what I want it to look like it yet :/
my friend is the one who is actually going to design my tattoo but i baically plan on getting my whole back done when ive accomplished my goal which is to lose 30 pounds. its going to take awhile lol…
reasoning…
1) i want to cover up all my scars and all the pain ive been through and to look at this tattoo and know what ive accomplished and know that im a strong person
2) to represent me and my family
what im getting…
i plan on getting a full on cherry blossom tree with my last name on the trunk which will be wrapped around my rib cages and i haven’t decided but im going to have flowers falling down and for each petal i want to put my grandparents name and every time someone dies in my family i want to write their names on there. but yea i haven’t decided if i want to do that or not yet.
those are my plans _
I’m getting more convinced that I want a tattoo that holds a lot of meaning and is deeply attached to a specific experience of my life and also incorporates many aspects of my identity. It’d also be nice if it could look hardcore. Ya know just in case all of the meaningful stuff falls through.
I think I might get it on the east coast after my bike ride across the country. Maybe in New York, Chicago or Tennesse (sorry tennnessians, if I spelled your state wrong).
Worth doing!
So I got this baby for my birthday (April of 07.) I designed it from the original Air Force logo with a spin off on the wings and updated the nautical stars a bit. My artist Riley Baxter (Pussykat Tattoos) did most of the touches on it and made it look better than I could have ever dreamed! Its dedicated to my future husband C/3C Brian Meredith. Enjoy and inspire the world with your tattoos.
Much Love.
Worth doing!
I have 4 tattoos. 2 of them are the same thing but on both my legs. I designed them and the one on my back it literally an exact copy of one of my drawings. It’s expensive, or I would have more. Designing your own tattoo is really rewarding. I love them.
