I’ve been in the tea industry for a few years now, know a little about it which I would be happy to share…..

Tropicana Hana Has become a RADIANT RED HEAD and looks so good ♡
Rooibos actually an africaans word and it is pronounced roy-bos, meaning red bush and has been popular in South Africa for generations after having just caught on in the west recently. It is actually an herbal tea, not made from a tea plant.
It is lacking caffeine and very high in anti-oxidants. How it compares to green or white tea in anti-oxidants I’m still not sure.
Tea lovers will enjoy this tea just as well as any other for it’s red color, health benefits and taste. It’s a bit naturally sweet and honey like – you brew it longer than other teas, after about 5 to 7 minutes it has flavorings like black tea only sweeter. It doesn’t get bitter like other teas after over brewing but tends to get sour tasting.
I recently just had my first Rooibos tea. A tea made by republic of teas called “get gorgeous” for great skin. a red tea blend with orange peel, hibiscus flower, chamomile, red clover, chaste berry, and burdock. It is delicious, I love it’s sweet fruity flavor. I also tried capetown harvest red tea by republic of teas and I higly reccomend it also a fruit floral blend.

but there’s always more to learn!
I made this entry almost a year ago. Here’s a quick update on my progress.
I bought The Tea Companion: A Connoisseur’s Guide by Jane Pettigrew. It is extremely informative, but not boring. It has really good photos throughout. I’d recommend it for anyone with this goal. I read it once and I plan to read it again, probably this summer, to re-familiarize myself with some of the terms.
Buying and reading this book has satisfied my desire to learn more about tea. This goal is done.
going to be chapter 7 in my autobio.
dedicated to gervas huxley, whose ‘talking of tea’ was my way into the teaworld.
I love it dearly, but at this point I consider myself somewhat of a connoisseur. (How on earth is that spelled? I suppose I should have a goal to learn how to spell French words…) One day, I hope to own a tea shop with my best friend. It’ll be great. We’ll only serve tea. And I’ll know everything there is to know about tea.
