the easiest way is to throw some seed in the ground. i enjoy the mix seed you never know whats going to come up where.

Cleared the flower bed of weeds and chopped down tangled half dead bushes to reveal beautiful mud. Have planted carnations, kangaroo paw (trying to stay native0 and bought loads of seeds which i have scattered wildly…..Can’t wait for spring!!
poor coneflowers. they weren’t exactly thriving but they had started sending up new leaves. Then my husband mowed the poor things down. They’re dead, jim.
I planted a clump of coneflowers my mother gave me.
It’s still alive, so far. I don’t know how it will take to the increased heat and humidity down here. Luckily with August half gone it will have the relatively drier and cooler part of the year to adjust.
I sure hope they do survive and thrive even. I like having to divide plants. It means they like where they are and grow without depending on me too much (and that’s bad for a plant).
