I’ve started getting into the habit of walking and jogging. I have major plans this summer to exercise more, increase my endurance, and slim down so I can start looking and feeling better. Yay me!

I am lifting weights, just a bit every day, no matter what. A few yoga and belly dance moves.
Six days now, just enough to feel the pull and be aware of my body.

for 5 years i have binge eaten, my weights gone up and down. and right now my body feels like crap
and im over it
i want to be able to run for long periods of time, and feel great doing it
and i want to be the right size for my height.
and i want to feel good and treat my body right

get back to the gym and then keep up a healthier lifestyle… i am all or nothing in this department so i am going to start by getting a personal trainer to show me the right way ( as i always end up to sore or with a bad back) then once i am on right track keep it up on a regular basis on my own !

Went for my first run on Saturday, and am amazed at how much my thighs ached the next day!! I obviously have become so unfit during the last year of pregnancy etc! It was nice to have a run in the sunshine, am looking forward to doing more exercise over the next few weeks!

Compromise 14 months ago

Ok, the kind of exercise I would like to do, I cant do for a while, so I am compromising a little on this goal.

I have decided I dont have to give up exercise completely, that if BashfulC and I take Oren swimming, that I could do a few laps while I am there, which would be nice therapeutic exercise. I also think I could start doing sit-ups, which might go part way to helping sort out my jelly-belly. I do know though, that I wont be able to shift any real weight until I can do some high-impact stuff. But Im thinking Ill probably be able to do this in November/December, which is about the time I would be looking to stop breastfeeding.

For now though, I am going to put more effort into what I eat. I am going to try and have a healthy breakfast and a healthy lunch. I am cutting 90% of my snacking to being flapjacks or granola bars. I am going to try and drink more juice and water. I generally cook us well rounded meals in the evening, so Im not too worried about those.

I have also statred taking Pregnacare pills, to try and make sure I am getting all the vitamins both Oren & I need. Ive not been taking them long, but I think I have noticed a little bit of a difference already in how I feel.

On hold 15 months ago

Due to current issues around Orens weight gain, Im once again completely putting this goal on hold.

I dont think my going out exercising is going to be at all beneficial for my breast milk, and I really dont need any more problems in that area!

I hate my current body shape and size, I hate having only crappy baggy clothes thay fit or maternity clothes which make me still look pregnant, but at the end of the day, Orens health is more important than my vanity.

i will run this week, i will….

No, I honestly will – I was going to do it last week but didnt fancy it in the midst of the heatwave!

Monday is meant to be a rest day (always amusing to start a training regime with a day of rest – so undeserved!) so hoping to do an evening run on Tuesday – will keep you posted!
