so i’m not going to become vegetarian, but i don’t need to be to make my life more meaningful. i’m just going to focus on me, which i’ve had a lot of time to do lately.

I got a book on yoga the other day. I think I could really improve my life that way.
Also I am soon to be vegetarian and very active in that because I feel mean.
And also, I’m going to start being more environmentally conscious. I love my mother earth. I don’t need to trash her.
Yeah I’m a hippie.

Living a life that means something! It’s not all about you. You will move on, leaving a legacy. What will you leave the future generations? Something to rise above or something to launch off of?
Buddhists say you need three things in life: something to do, something to love, and something to hope for.
I suppose you could slot multiple items into each of these categories—if you’re not sure about one of them, it’s time to do some soul searching. I know that what I thought I knew about myself has been evolving, so my answers five years ago are different than now. Sometimes I’m not so sure of my answers.
If you asked me this second, this is what I’d say:
Something to do: be a positive force for change in the world.
Something to love: I love storytelling, visual arts, music, creative people.
Something to hope for: I will soon find the woman of my dreams, eventually have a family, live a lifestyle that allows me to spend time with the people and doing the things that I value most.
What about you?
Help! I need pointers on what to do to feel better about myself. I used to work outside the home, be active and now I am at home and feeling totally useless. I am unable to work due to my being bipolar (too much stress, I cycle very fast). I’m stuck in a rut. With no where to go. Sit at home all day and time just drips away.
