ok im a little embarissed to admit this but the reson i started to get interested in ballett was after i saw the movie Step Up. i thought the dancing was beautiful exspecially the ballett. well, i was already taking hip-hop classes and so i started ballett too and ofcourse scince the last time i did ballett was in like, 1st grade, i had to start out at the begginners level and i am working exstra hard to finally reach my goal of learning pointe. i heard that the shoes for pointe are EXSTREMLLY uncomfortable though. my friend’s cousin does pointe and she says that her toenails are about an inch thick! oh well, another reason to get more pedicures – oh darn! lol

I dont know why…I just do. Seems like my feet are a good shape, imrpove my posture, learn to jump without the pain in my ankles. This goal was spurred by the encouragement of a good ballet sneaker that I have actual arch support in, that I wear everyday. I’ve found that my jumps are lighter and my landings are softer. Perhaps because I remember to with these shoes, or maybe the shoes alow my foot to move that way. I’ll have to think about it more.
