How to visit NYC

 "It was absolutely AMAZING!"
How I did it: Well, firstly, I worked for a year and saved my money. It was a random day when I asked my friend when she wanted to go to NYC again (I'd never been but she had). We decided on a day. We then bought our bus tickets. The day arrived and we bused from Ottawa, Ontario to NYC. The customs experience will always be memorable. We stayed for four days. We got beds at the Jazz on the Park hostel and I'd definitely go again! It was an amazing experience!

How I did it: Our Girl Scout troop decided that as one final trip we would go to NYC. My friend, who was our leader's daughter, had been with school before and said it was awesome. We saved up our cookie sales money as well as money from several other fundraisers (mostly yard sales and car washes) for about 3 years and two of the parents donated airline miles to help get plane tickets. i grew up in the farmland of illinis, but decided to venture out to new jersey or college. i go to new york cty all the time now, and it is the most AMAZING place EVER! where else can you catch the statue of liberty and batman about to kiss??

i went to nyc three years ago on my schools eighth grade honors trip. i live in a small town so it seemed huge. its deffinitly debatable as to whether its one of the most beautiful places in the world, or one of the ugliest. although i did find the tourist attractions amazing, being there, seeing all of the homeless, the poor, the lonely, the sad, it made me feel so small and greedy. i wish there was a way to help. a way to make a difference in there lives. i donated a small amount of my spending money to each of them, but still it hurt knowing that i still wasnt making an impact in their lives.
