that my truck loan is under $3,500 owed. My signature loan is under $1900. And my credit card? Well someone (couldn’t say who) used it and it’s up to $430, but making a payment this week will take it under $400.

How I did it: I paid my grandpa every month for a loan he'd given me for some county-related dues that got me out of a bind.I made sure to write a check already every month, as if it were like changing my underwear or brushing my teeth -- it's just something you DO. Not something you compromise. Read how I did it…

Well, I took out what had been paid off on the loan to buy myself a new car, and now I’ve made a commitment to put $400 a fortnight (minimum) into the loan account. So this is on it’s way. Anything I have left over that $400 and living expenses is either spending money, savings (gonna buy me a new couch and then after that a new tv) or will go into the loan again. Feeling good about it, even if I will miss that money =P
Things aren’t going according to plan here… I’m not putting ANY money to my loan atm regardless of the fact that I got a promotion… go figure. I will soon but atm I just cannot be arsed with it. Oh well.
about paying off your credit card? You have room to use it again. Sigh. I have a legit excuse. I needed to bring a horse home. I put $300 on it, and have already paid $100 of it down. But it’s still out there. But what do they say? They want to see you have a good pay history and if you have no pay history you don’t have a good pay history, so I’m making sure I have a good pay history. :)
is paid off. In fact, I have a $40 credit on it. However, my signature loan… I just added to it. I got it down to $640, but decided I needed to get a trailer, so put another $1500 on the loan. The payments will remain the same, but I now have a larger balance to work toward.
Bi weekly my paycheck puts $50 on this loan. I contributed an extra $50 the other day. I’m just under $800. At the minimum, I’ll have it done in 4 months. My goal is less than 3 months. Then work on the visa. Although, I’m doing a minimum $50/mo on the visa. If I didn’t use it, that would work it’s way down as well.
but that is unrealistic for another year or so. I do however, have a signature loan that I took out for Ruby’s training over a year ago. I owe less that $1,000. I also have a credit card with about $400 balance on it.
I want to pay both of these off soon.
I’m just sick of oweing money… and the sooner I have paid it off, the sooner I can get back to saving money for my plot for world domination!!!!
after having neglected this subject for a year, I finally called the bank and got a monthly transfer. oh, it’s the biggest relief just to have started on the payback.
I will pay back my loan early.
Even if it is bad in terms of taxes, I hate to see those letters from the bank every year, telling me that I still need to pay until 2024… What a long time, it makes me feel like a steel ball chained to my ankle. Over the past years interest rates have gone up, and the fiscal benefits have shrunk to something very small. I think only the banks are getting better from this deal. In the mean time I have saved enough money to just pay it back, so first banking day in januari, I will pay them a visit… and draw a line under this thing.
