It took me moving closer to the city to be able to do this  — 4 weeks ago

    Worth doing!

But now that I’ve got it I reckon I’ll use it a fair bit. So far I’ve ridden it home from the bicycle shop near work, and to the local shops to buy groceries, not much, but I’ve had it less than a week :)

    Worth doing!

The day I got accepted into nursing school I thought, “I need a bike to ride to school”. I thought, “I wish there were garage sales in February in the snowy mtns of Colorado”, where I lived at the time, and low and behold there was a garage sale 1 block from my house with the perfect city-school-commuter bicycle for $25! Not only that, the people I bought it from used to live 1 block from me in Florida. Talk about wierd! Now I ride the bike almost everyday and I only drive about 2 days per week! I love it and as soon as I get on it I feel fabulous! And I’m saving a ton of money on gas. Best $25 I ever spent!

    I did it!  — 11 months ago

I broke down 2 weeks ago and bought a bike. I haven’t had much of an opportunity to use it yet since I’m in the process of moving in with the bf but the times I have gone it’s been a ton of fun! I certainly look forward to the fall weather and having the move completed so we can go ride in the evenings! I’ll keep you posted!

Ok…so I didn’t buy it. But I got an old one from a friend. If I start riding it more I might buy a new one.

Looks like rain  — 2 years ago

Hmmm. After a few days of not riding (I walked to work yesterday because I was so tired), I had an easy ride into work this morning – but now it’s looking like rain is on the way. It won’t be too bad to ride home in a drizzle, but I wonder how slick the roads will get?

Hardly any discomfort from the bike saddle this morning! A pleasant surprise, I thought it would take several weeks to grow accustomed. I’m only riding a mile each way, so I’m sure if we tried a longer ride this weekend I would ache. People Who Know have advised getting a Brooks saddle, and they are lovely looking, but will have to wait until I’ve paid the bike off.
