To begin the process of transforming bad habits to spiritual power, we must recognize that the pain of the bad habit is worse than the pain of healing. Cultivating good habits is difficult, but it is more difficult to maintain bad habits.

So the new/old boyfriend and I broke up before I went to S. America. He basically disappeared on me. He didn’t bother to say goodbye when I left; so I just sent him an e-mail saying that if you want to break up, you got it. While I was away he came to my apartment picked up his key and dropped my stuff off. It broke my heart into a million and one pieces. I came home and we started talking again about after a month. My trust for this guy is gone, but I still care for him. We have so much fun together. I still think he is handsome too. I just don’t have that feeling for him anymore. I’ve been considering going back to the old guy just to make myself feel better. I know it’s not the answer. I just need to stay strong and see if new/old bf can redeem himself.

I have a new BF for about 2 months now. Since I met him I haven’t had any urge to go back to old habits. He’s been rather cold we me for about a week so I think things are on the outs. Maybe it’s time for some time alone.

I’ve been really working on this goal and I think I’ve made some positive steps towards change. The biggest breakthrough that I’ve had is that I’ve decided to savor life more; I’ve decided to resist the quick fixes and wait things out for the better lasting long-term option. This seems to be working. Of course I still answer to my addictions, but I don’t feel so imprisoned anymore.

on that same midnight train again. Where’s the end? When will this stop? I need something to look forward to.

I’ve decided to buy myself a promise ring. As promise and reminder to love myself and to never forget that I deserve love; I deserve to live. I like the idea of giving more to others by being kind to myself.

“Confront the dark parts of yourself, and work to banish them with illumination and forgiveness. Your willingness to wrestle with your demons will cause your angels to sing. Use the pain as fuel, as a reminder of your strength.”
