win my fantasy baseball league

Been in 2nd place for a while, about 2.5 points back. It could be a close finish. Runs, homers and stolen bases will be crucial categories. I’ve been hanging in there lately due largely to strong performances by Robinson Cano and David Wright.

Well, I didn’t win this year. I finished in second place (which is last place because it’s just me and my twin in our league).

Yeah, I finished in 4th. Ah well. Time to sit back and enjoy the playoffs.

It’s down to the wire, and I’m oscillating between 4th and 5th. Doesn’t look like it’s going to happen this year, but I’ll be ready next season.

Not bad, considering that I’ve been mostly hands-off this season. Today was the first time in a month (at least) that I’d fiddled with the roster, and I can’t remember the last time I actually added/dropped people.

Well, the season is half over, and I’ve secured a fairly decisive 4th place. I’m not yet within striking range of 3rd, but if my pitching holds up and my hitters do well in the second half, I still have a decent chance of winning the league.

I’m ahead by 10.5 games in my head to head league and I’m a meager 5 points out of first in the roto. Could this be the year I finally win one?

I’m probably jinxing myself by writing this…

My pitching has improved dramatically in past few weeks. I’m sitting in 4th place, mainly because I have very few points in home runs. I’m really hoping Sheffield comes off the DL soon.

Finally made it into 2nd place, not far behind first. About 5 teams are bunched within a few points of each other at the top, so it’s really anyone’s race at this point. Still lots of games to go.

Unlike previous years, I’m not going to do a lot of adds and drops right away. I think I usually mess myself up by changing too much too early.
