Have a reason to get dressed up.

I can’t remember the last time I got dressed up in more than standard work/wedding/funeral attire. I’d love to have a reason to get dressed up in something a little more formal!

I have been dressing up a bit more than the “normal casual” aloha wear clothes here in Kona. I dressed up for church a bit…so I guess that counts. Now that I am working Sundays at the church, I feel like I can dress up a bit more and it is ok. Everyone dresses very casual, so my dress up is not fancy, but just a little more “dressed up”. I love working at the church, I get to be there for 3 services and serve people, the church and the pastors and members. It’s so much fun! God is so good!
He was so right on to tell me to volunteer there. Thanks Jesus!
Now I get to have fun, serve God more and get dressed up once a month a bit.

I would dress up for church tomorrow, but I have to walk a mile to catch a shuttle. It’s exactly one mile which is so close really, but dressing up for the walk in the heat…just doesn’t sound like fun anymore. I’ll wear my slippers (flip flops) and shorts and be comfortable. I’ll have the walk home aftwards to think about too.
