I want to develop a new economic model for myself also. However, I’m not sure it’s its the same economic model as the other who wants to do this. I’d like to live off of cash only.

It seems a little more reasonable. After all, I can only change myself. “DEVELOP A NEW ECONOMIC SYSTEM” sounds too grandiose, without the for myself

The last two bullets in my first entry (Rather than, & When I sell) could certainly could be a marketing trick
But not necessarily. I’m aware that not everyone has the same ability to pay. For example, at my church, which is VERY diverse (and I love it for that), there are people ranging from homeless to millionaires. If I sell my framed 8×10 photos at $20.00, that’s a LOT for a poor person, and pennies for a rich one. My goal is to make my art available to people in a wider range of means. I’ve modified my plan to have placards that read: “Price is from $10 to $30. Pay what you like.” As an experiment, I’ll see if it averages anywhere near the $20.00 I’d like to get. An economic revolution can only occur when enough people adopt an idea. There’s NO CHANCE I can do it on my own. But I can have FUN trying out new things.

Here’s the concept:
- Assume I am rich. Act out of a sense of plenty, instead of a sense of scarcity.
- As a wealthy person, give all I can do without away (this reduces clutter, helps simplify my life, and is practicing generosity too, and hopefully will help others less fortunate.)
- Give of my time and my talents (they were GIVEN to me, weren’t they?)
- Volunteer whenever possible, in a way that enlivens me and develops my community.
- Be satisfied with what I have in life. As Lao Tsu said 3,000 years ago: He who knows he has enough is the truly wealthy person.
- Rather than work for an hourly wage as a photographer or consultant, provide a RESULT. Then ask the person who hired me to pay based on 1) their satisfaction with the result, and 2) based on what THEY think is fair, and 3) based on their economic condition.
- When I sell flower photos, have a sign that says “If you want to pay LESS (or MORE) than the asking price, just ask me.”
