    No More! 2 years ago

Almost out of debt (including student loans)!

Haven’t used the plastic in ages. So I told the companies I’d be paying off the cards and closing them.

I use a Visa check card now to keep a credit history. When I charge I write it out of my check book so I know it’s not there…

    Does that make sense?

    Umm…whoops?

I got a credit card that I will be super responsible with for the sake of getting good credit and establishing a credit history. And stuff. But yeah, I guess I failed this whole dealio…

I no longer have any credit cards! Not a one… never again will I get one! My credit’s already screwed up because of them and it’s going to take me forever to fix that lovely mess.

Good news!? Less then $900 of debt left to pay off… it should have been paid off by now, but I didn’t work for a few months and I was only able to pay the damned min. balance!

    It's Been 2 Months... 2 years ago

It’s been two months since I last used my plastic.

I’m in debt by $1,200.00 even, (after paying some off this month already).

My Dicover Card is in an icecube the size of a shoe box and my other card, well, it’s in about 30 pieces and in a plastic bag on my wall to remind me that I can pay the debt off!

My parents showed me how they can screw up your life, and I have never filled out an application. I have an emergency fund if my car breaks down or something, and I use a visa backed debit card when I travel. all the security, none of the crap.

I love not having a huge credit card bill. Sure I do not buy stuff I can’t afford, but thats never wrong.

I throw away all offers for credit cards and pay for everything with my debit card. I think if I got a credit card I would go crazy and spend a bunch of money I don’t have, so I’m trying really hard to resist. I also try not to buy online – it doesn’t feel like I’m spending real money. And then, whoops, where’s the rent money? :)
