How to buy a bed

How I did it: Sometime ago, my boyfriend and I thought about buy a couple bed to put in his apartment, changing the two single bed he has there. It would be the first furniture to our future home. We search in some stores and found some types that match with good prices. But we had our "dream bed": box type, king size, very confortable. But it was so more expensive than we could pay. So it would be a goal for 2009, when the sales after the summer vacation occurs. The big surprise was the much lower price in our dream bed this week for no reason. We gave some days to really think about it and last saturday we went to the store. There was no more beds in stock, but we could pay the lower price and wait arrive some more in town. The preview to delivery is December, 24th. It will be a great xmas gift to us :D Lessons & tips: It's important wait for the right moment to make a big decision. If we didn't wait, we could have bought another bed or bought the same bed for a higher price. Search a lot, discuss the prices in the stores. I saved some money and could pay for it without credit card. It gave to me a good discount, and the price was lower. They always engociate when you talk about pay in cash. Resources: Internet. Stores searches. Tip from friends who live alone and have experience in buy furnitures. |

I might change this to build a bed. I feel I could do a better job for less money and have something that I can be proud to have in my home. Mostly, because it would be 100% me. I dreampt it, designed it, built it. How beautiful would that be?

I’m not sleeping on the floor like my friends here, I actually have a very nice mattress set. I just need and actual bed to put it on :(.

Space constraints have made it necessary for me to go up… considering that i have a 12ft ceiling also helps.
So for now at least i no longer have dogs and cats jumping all over me in the middle of the night. It’s a pain the ass when you need to pee though.

I dont have credit and i cant afford to buy a bed cash. but today i finally got enough courage to rent to own one. im fed up. i’ve been sleeping on a air mattress for a year now! A whole year!! isn’t that ridiculous??!! i didnt buy one until i knew where i would be planting my feet, cause i just moved out of state. but i cannot take it anymore. It will be here tomorrow. i bet it will feel wonderful.

Beds are overrated. I’d rather have a nice cozy nest-like mattress on the floor. Less to worry about when you decide to uproot and move.

Ikea opened a store in Tokyo.
No delivery available outside of the greater Tokyo area.
Guess I’ll have to rent a van and drive all the way up there.
