save money every week

Well, I have a job now, i’ve been working for almost five months. I am also a full-time student. I decided to work and go to schook to keep myself busy and plus I really need money to save. So far in my savings account I have $300 i’m trying t save 1500 before the summer. Lets see how this goes.

Ha! I have not saved money every week.

At least now (after twelve weeks) I’m in the thousands.

But I have to pay for Splendour out of that, so…

After some slippin’ and a-slidin’, I’m back up to date with this.

After (approximately) eight weeks, I have saved
$902.

for a month now, each week i have saved 15% of what i got paid as well as whatever i had left over from last week’s pay.

so it’s come out to around 50-100$ each week, and i have not run out of money, and i have kept myself in needless frippery and alcoholic beverages.

so, that works!

fuckin’ fuck, I had 500, then I took out 100 at two different intervals to pay for stuff, so I was down to 300.

For now, at least until all my debts are paid off and my textbooks are bought, I’ll just save 10% of what I get paid every week. It’s not much.

well, after a few weeks of Epicly Failing to save any money, this week I put 350$ into savings and there it will stay.

So I’m back to where I started before the big day out. Could be worse, people! lol.

And I only need another ~1650$, just for the ticket.

At the BDO I realised there was too much sweet stuff to buy so I grabbed another 100 out of savings. I didn’t spend much of it but the remaining cash is my fun money for the next week or so.

+100$. I added 100 back in today after getting paid.

So I’m still down 100.

I ran out of money this week after buying tickets, food, and booze. I fail. I needed money for merch and food at the BDO…. so yeah. after this, and after I settle all my debts and debits, I should start saving again… probably the week after next.

I started the year with no money, after blowing it all on an Xbox 360, on Alcoholiday, and on Xmas presents.
So as part of this goal I’ll move money from my pay each Wednesday into my savings account (The Lockbox as it’s charmingly named) and never remove any of it, unless it’s an emergency.
In the past I took money out whenever I was running low and that’s not really conducive to a decent savings account.

So.
