Only 6 more months to go! 11 months ago

I’m so excited, I shake when I think about it.
I already have a plan when I get out, do 6-12 mos in in a small junior college then end up at Georgia Tech to pursue my passion of Architecture.

After I walk down that aisle, I’m going to Benehana…..

So I guess I have around 17 months left, subtracting summers. That doesnt sound quite as bad as TWO YEARS.

I have already survived the first week and each day progresses with more mundane things like Honors Algebra for homework, or writing assignments every time you finish the last one. They try and keep you busy in the Honors classes

I’m a junior now, so I’m ALMOST done…but it just feels like i’ve gone to the same school with the same people for almost eternity, and I’m really ready to escape and go to college and live on my own. I don’t know if I can handle another two years…that seems like so MUCH TIME between me, and my freshman year of college.

and to all the freshies who are frantically posting things, the first two years of high school are not that bad. Once you are my age though, it gets so old, and so boring.

it took me seven years. 16 months ago

but now i go to a pretty fantastic little university which i enjoy immensely. so for me, it was definitely worth it.

on the flip side, i have plenty of smart friends who simply decided that high school did not have much value for them, and was getting in the way of their real education, and they’ve done some pretty amazing things with themselves. i really admire and respect them, and it makes me really angry when people suggest that their opting out of secondary education was somehow “a waste”.

high school was an important aspect of my personal education because i want to be a high school teacher in the future. i don’t even really regret how long it took me, because in that time i attended three different schools under three different school boards, and got a good long hard look at how different school systems operate—what works and what doesn’t, in the classroom and outside of it.

for my friends who wanted to learn how to make beautiful food (for example), high school was not particularly helpful, and i think they did the right thing in casting it aside.

good luck, with whatever path you choose to take.

Sharing a building filled with hundreds teenagers for hours a day five days a week isn’t that good for you when you don’t want to be bothered, I guess this is to pay for all of my sins.XD But sometimes I wish those guys could treat other people better, peers can be so cruel sometimes…

AH!!!! 18 months ago

well I’m going to be “freshmeat” this fall and I’m sort of terrified. I don’t want to be terrified because I’m not even there yet :/ I would just love some info about high school. My brother is a junior and sadly he was mister popular and I guess you could say that I’m following him in his footsteps. But the thing is, life is total different for boys and girls, so I don’t think my charasmatic self will help much. I don’t plan to be one of those stereo typical mean girl I actually hate those kind of girls but for some reason they worship me?!!! and personally I don’t want people to think that I am one of them :o . I’m going to a small charter school which people say is WAY different than regular high school. Is that true? I need help://

jesus, i still have this recurring nightmare of high school, where i can’t find my locker, and when i do i don’t have the combination, and i don’t have my schedule for class, and i don’t know where to get a copy, and i’m avoiding getting caught ditching class inside the school! i never have my books, or homework, i can’t get a ride outta there and i never know what time it is.

nightmare. but just a dream.
you’ll wake up from yours too.
the reality of it couldn’t have been that bad. i don’t recall..

Honestly, 21 months ago

High school isn’t that bad. I’m a lot happier now than I was four years ago.

But I still can’t wait to graduate this May and start college. Senioritis is murdering me.
