As part of this Spanglish roadtrip we broke into Canada for a couple of days. It wasn’t part of the original itinerary, but it sounded fun to put our feet in a new country and acquire “eh” as part of our vocabulary so we went for it.

We crossed from Washington into BC at the Huntingdon crossing and stayed two nights in a campground about four hours north of there. Marble something. It was so beautiful – several serene lakes to justify inflating the kayak, hiking trails that led to an inviting waterfall, lots of wildlife. Both mornings I woke up to loon calls – eerie and beautiful. 5 years ago
